3-D In Review-Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

Three years after Ice Age: The Meltdown, comes Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. The animation is very good (there are some impressive scenes), and the voice-overs (with the return of the main voice cast, and with the addition of new characters, like the one voiced by Simon Pegg) are good too, and there are hilarious moments, but..

As far as 3-D is concerned, it's obvious that the movie wasn't designed with that in mind or with that as a significant element. There are some 3-D scenes, but they don't really add something essential to the experience. In other words, the 3-D effects are nice, but you won't miss anything if you watch the 2-D version.

Ice Age 3 is an entertaining movie, but it's weaker than the previous installments.
